Baldur’s Gate 3 is a party‑based CRPG by Larian Studios set in the Forgotten Realms, translating 5e Dungeons & Dragons into richly cinematic conversations, reactive questlines, and turn‑based tactical combat with verticality, surfaces, and systemic interactions. The design emphasizes radical player agency—class builds, party composition, stealth, social checks, and combat puzzles—allowing multiple solutions to almost every scenario and deeply branching outcomes that echo across acts. Typical runtimes range from 50–75 hours to finish the main path and well over 100–150 hours for thorough runs, depending on difficulty and exploration; the game supports online co‑op for up to four players and local split‑screen for two, with full campaign support in multiplayer.

Story

A mind flayer parasite is implanted in your brain during an abduction, kicking off a race to find a cure while navigating the politics and perils of the Sword Coast—an odyssey that draws you into a conspiracy centered on the Elder Brain and the cult of the “Absolute”. Across three acts, you collect allies, confront the Chosen of the Dead Three—Gortash, Orin, and Ketheric—and decide the fate of Baldur’s Gate through choices that permute major quests, companion arcs, and endings, including difficult tradeoffs around Orpheus, the Emperor, and the Netherstones. The narrative’s branching design means scenes, characters, and even climax beats can change drastically based on your earlier decisions, rewarding role‑play and multiple playthroughs.
